One of the most successful experiential sites of Access Israel, is the 'Accessibility Trail'. This is a trail that is scattered with different obstacles that simulate everyday struggles for people with disabilities. The participant choses through which disability he/she wants to experience the trail: visual (blind-folded), hearing (headphones) or physical disability (wheelchair). The participants are guided through the 'Accessibility Trail' and experience various difficulties people with disabilities face on a daily basis. For example, the difficulties in opening doors, different surfaces, stairs, ordering food in restaurants and other daily obstacles. This is one of the most successful attractions of Access Israel and has been displayed in the UN headquarters in Vienna and in other countries. This trail can include assisting accessibility technologies that enables people with disabilities to live a fuller and more intendent life.
