Summing up a visit of a few days to the Inclusive Africa 2023 conference that took place in the city of Nairobi, Kenya. During the conference and as part of Access Israel efforts to promote awareness and provide tools for accessibility to people with disabilities and older people in emergency situations, we led a panel on accessibility in times of emergency trough the Purple Vest model, in which we discussed technologies that can help during an emergency, the meaning of designing the space for people with disabilities, and accessibility in the refugee camps in Kenya. During the visit to Kenya, we also delivered important training on emergency accessibility to UN habitat employees from all over the world, at the UN building in Kenya, as well as met with the head of the Kenyan Red Cross and discuss the importance of training Red Cross employees to provide service to people with disabilities.Proud to engage in such an important topic, learn what is happening in the world and share our knowledge and experience.
