The year 2024 was a challenging and activity-filled year for Access Israel.
Alongside our ongoing efforts to promote accessibility and inclusion in Israel, this year was marked by emergency response activities following the Iron Swords War, with a special focus on the Purple Vest Project, which supported thousands of people with disabilities and the elderly in coping with emergency situations.

Emergency Response:
Over 5,000 people received assistance through the Purple Vest emergency operations center, including emergency evacuations, accessible and secure housing placement, professional training, and ongoing support.

Awards and Recognition:
We were honored with prestigious awards, including UNESCO’s Global Inclusion Award and a humanitarian activity award in the U.S.

Accessibility and Training:
4,778 service providers were trained, 41 discussions were promoted in the Knesset (Israeli Parliament), and our community of accessibility coordinators grew significantly.

International Activity:
The organization led projects in 24 countries, collaborated with global organizations, and promoted the Purple Vest model worldwide.

And more…
The association continues its efforts with full energy into the coming year, aiming to ensure a better quality of life and maximum accessibility for the 1.8 million people with disabilities in Israel.
